Job Description

Bellwether Housing is seeking a talented and resourceful Executive Assistant and Board Liaison to provide comprehensive support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), project management for key strategic CEO and organizational initiatives, and administrative support for the organization’s Board of Directors. This is a high-impact and high-visibility position that will interact directly with employees across the organization, with the Board of Directors, with business partners and community stakeholders, policy leaders, and elected officials, and be an integral part of the senior leadership team of the organization.

Salary: $79,379 - $97,018/annually.  

The posted salary reflects the full pay range for this position. Offers made to qualified candidates will be made within this range and will be determined by various factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other factors that would be critical to success in this role.  

 

Position Overview: The Executive Assistant to the CEO & Board Liaison (EA/BL) provides comprehensive support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), project management for key strategic CEO and organizational initiatives, and administrative support for the organization’s Board of Directors. The EA/BL will serve as a member of the organization’s leadership team and contribute to key strategic decision-making. The EA must develop a deep understanding of the work of the organization, the core values and goals, and work in a manner that advances those values and goals, including establishing and maintaining a collaborative, innovative, inspired, and mission-driven organizational culture.   

 

Work Schedule: This position is primarily onsite with flexibility for remote work. The standard schedule is Monday-Friday during core business hours. 

 

Your Impact:  

  • Proactively manage the CEO's calendar, schedule, travel, and expense reports.    
  • Manage schedule, logistics, and materials for the Board of Directors and its committees, provide administrative support for board initiatives, meetings, and retreats, and other key board governance activities; maintain accurate corporate records (board minutes, resolutions, membership data). 
  • Assist with external communications and managing external relationships with neighborhood stakeholders, contractors, elected officials and policymakers, donors, investors, and other financial partners. 
  • Assist with employee engagement by organizing meetings with departments, assisting in managing employee recognition, open forum town halls, and assist others in planning all staff meetings and events.  
  • Assist CEO with Bellwether’s policy advocacy efforts, including reviewing and briefing CEO on public policy proposals, helping develop and draft Bellwether’s policy positions, and managing employee and Board engagement in advocacy efforts.   
  • Prepare high-quality graphic visualization of organizational data to support Board meetings, advocacy efforts, and employee and community education.   
  • Support the leadership team: manage logistics, scheduling, and agendas for leadership meetings and retreats, keep and distribute notes, participate in strategic-level conversations regarding organizational policy and direction, communicate strategic issues, initiatives, and decisions to employees.    
  • Contribute to creating a collaborative, innovative, and mission-driven organizational culture.    
  • Independently manage a wide variety of projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the CEO. 
  • Act with a high level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism with employees, Board members, and outside stakeholders. 

     

Who You Are:  

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience providing executive-level administrative support OR a mix of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the functions of the position. 
  • Advanced competencies with MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Adobe, and virtual meeting platforms.

  • Skilled in creating insightful data visualizations and interfacing with complex, large-scale databases.
